For over 50 years, John A. Lauricella has

been at the helm of an iconic salon

located at 5422 Main Street. Though the

salon has undergone three different

names, it has consistently delivered

exceptional services and is now known as

Salon Gemma. We pride ourselves on

being home to some of the finest hair

stylists, colorists, and nail technicians in

New York.

Back in 1970, our salon was quite

different, much like Buffalo itself, which

was then a blue-collar town. Over the

decades, as Buffalo has embraced a

more sophisticated and fashion-forward

identity, our salon has evolved in

tandem. This transformation has earned

us a world-class reputation, bolstered by

our memberships in prestigious hair and

fashion organizations such as Intercoiffure

Mondial, the Toronto Guild of Hair

Design, and Haute Coiffure Française.

These affiliations have connected us to

the global fashion scene, a rarity in

Western New York.

A significant portion of our staff has

been with us for decades, bringing
